2% Sales Tax

The new sales tax will only affect taxpayers located inside the city limits of Minden, LA and inside one of the four Minden Economic Development Districts or taxpayers that have a sales/use tax liability in any of these Districts.
Our return has been revised effective for the period beginning January 1, 2017. If a taxpayer is inside one of the districts they are required to collect and remit the current local tax of 5 1/2% along with the additional 2% Minden Economic Development District tax. The additional 2% will be reported on line 16A.
